This is not official financial advice, just my opinion after years of trial and error.

Let’s be open about our personal finances

No, not how much money you make, but what are you doing with it? We’re not supposed to talk about money and politics though right? I disagree. Now more than ever, with social inequality and the covid pandemic, we need to share knowledge and ideas that can help people. Keeping all our techniques, tips, and tricks close to the chest hasn’t been about greed though. It’s been about our fear of judgment that we’re wrong and would look stupid. But judge away I still want to share!

Let’s start by establishing that I think I’m an average Millennial when it comes to income and money management knowledge. I don’t come from wealth. I didn’t major in Finance or Econ. But I do know the value of a dollar. Growing up, I had to earn every penny, I had to get scholarships to go to college and then needed to make money immediately after graduating.
